I’m all about active skincare, and cleaning out the pores, softening lines and refining my skin’s surface. But I’d be missing something key in my skincare routine if I wasn’t also including deep moisture and hydration. I have found a few incredible creams that deposit moisture and plump up my skin for a glowy and dewy look, like I just stepped out of a gentle rain shower. If I could walk around misting my face with Vichy Eau Thermale All Day, that would be easy, but sometimes my skin needs to take it to the next level of moisture.

Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Repair 2:4:2 ($140 CAD, 40ml)

Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 is an anti aging cream formulated with a maximized concentration of lipids: pure ceramides, natural cholesterol, and fatty acids. The ratio of the ingredients is 2 %, 4% and 2% hence the name. This cholesterol-dominant ratio helps restore skin’s external barrier and support natural self-repair, while potently nourishing aging skin for improvement in visible signs of accelerated aging.

Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 has been clinically proven to improve the visible appearance of skin smoothness, laxity, pores, and overall radiance. I love the way it feels on skin, and I do feel like my skin is softer, smoother and plumped up. It does smooth and soften in addition to plumping up my skin with moisture. Like many Skinceuticals items I’ve used, I have fallen in love with Triple Lipid Repair.

Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb ($47 CAD, 50ml)

The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, continues to hold the position as the number one beauty product across all categories in Korea’s prestige beauty market (Based on 2013 and 2014 sales data compiled for the Sure Magazine Beauty Awards).

I’ve loved every K Beauty cult item I’ve tried and Belif True Cream is no exception. The True Cream comforts dry skin and provides the skin with intense, soothing hydration that you feel immediately. Clinically tested to provide up to 26 hours of moisture using a blend of apothecary herbs, including comfrey leaf, a powerful hydrating agent. The Moisturizing Bomb has a soft cushy touch and ‘bursts’ when applied, releasing a flood of moisture onto skin, and absorbs beautifully. It leaves a smooth soft texture that is not sticky and makes a great base for any makeup routine. It is like a tall drink of water for my skin and I adore it!

Hwansaenggo Escargot Golden Firming Cream ($69 CAD, 50ml)

The Face Shop is a K Beauty phenomenon and I have loved pretty much everything I’ve tried from them. The Hwansaenggo Escargot Golden Firming line is one of my all time favourite skincare systems, and the Golden Firming Serum serum is simply excellent. You can read my review of the line here.

I was happy to try the HEGF Cream, which has a richer moisture delivery than the serum, while still offering the skin clearing and refining aspects of the serum. The Golden Firming Cream works to repair skin damage caused by aging and environmental factors with nourishing snail mucus filtrate.. Ingredients such as rare black ginseng and 24K gold make skin healthier, clearer, and younger-looking. This cream promotes skin regeneration and restores healthy elasticity. I love the way this entire line makes my skin feel, not to mention the insanely luxe packaging looks stunning on my counter.
