Body Oil Obsessed: Bare Love Body, Benefit Bathina & Osmia Body Oil

My obsession with body oils continues. I love the way oils sink into the skin. I will always love my lotions and creams, but I honestly find they work best when used in conjunction with a body oil. Body oils are best applied after the bath or shower, when your skin is still damp.  If I haven’t showered and still want to use an oil, I sometimes mist myself with rosewater head to toe, wait a few minutes, and then apply the oil. Hun, let me tell you,  that’s a spa in your bedroom, right there. You’re welcome.

The body oils I’m loving right now are super luxe and gorgeous, and all are under $40 a bottle. The brands range from a nationally known major beauty brand, Benefit, to natural and gorgeous niche, Bare Love, to amazing and organic from the mountains of Colorada, Osmia. Hey – my tastes in beauty are nothing if not diverse.

Bare Love Body ($28 CAN, 3oz)

This is a gorgeous oil product that feels like a luxury serum. It is more concentrated than most standard oils, and comes in a well designed pump. It has a fragrance, but even to my nose, it is hardly noticeable, and by the time I’m dressed, I don’t even notice it. I love to use Bare Love Body in the evening, after a bath, before bed. Even in the dead of winter it helps me wake up with dewy glowing skin. From their website:

Bare Love Body is fueled to improve skin elasticity, vitality and overall radiance. Rich in Vitamin C,E, essential fatty acids and Omega 6 & 9. Helps improve the appearance of dry, cracked skin and protects against external factors.

Bathina “soft to touch…hard to get” ($34 US, 2.5oz)

I have always loved the Bathina Body Balm – it made my legs look soft and glowy, but what I loved most is the scent. Benefit released that amazing Bathina gorgeousness in a body oil. That sprays. My first observation with Bathina oil is the amazing packaging. The pump spray is fantastic, and you get a lovely fine mist of their wonderful oil wherever you aim. It feels silky and light as a feather. This oil is perfect if you don’t like heavy products on your skin. And the scent! Ahhhh I love it so much, it smells like soft clean skin after a warm bath. Addicted.

From their website:

Silky, sexy skin is impossible to resist. This super-fine body oil mist absorbs instantly for immediate hydration. It includes sweet almond, olive and avocado oils to leave skin feeling soft & moisturized…and vitamin E known to help keep it firm. With a seductive sheen and a hint of tempting fragrance, it’s lust at first touch!
