CHANEL CRUISE COLLECTION 2017: review and swatches

Lucia Pica continues her walk through Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic colour  palette with the latest Cruise Collection 2017. This gorgeous collection adds a touch of glamour to the natural look with this sun-kissed palette.

This is  collection for sunny summer days and warm summer nights. From soft coral, to warm golden tones, rich deep greens and green-black shades, there is something for everyone.

Let’s start with the new CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Colour  . I’m in love! It’s as incredible as the original Les Beiges powder, including the amazing photo shop capabilities we’ve all come to love. What did we do before Les Beiges? So the Healthy Glow Luminous colour  has the most adds the perfect sun kissed radiance, with five subtly iridescent, versatile shades. Never shimmer. I *may* love it more than my original Les Beiges powder as I’ve become addicted to the glow.

Seriously though – that glow! I’m wearing the Vert Profond Imitable Waterproof Mascara with the limited edition Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Horizon, a dusty greyish-greenish shade that I love.

The standout from the collection for me is the stunning Imitable Waterproof Mascara in Vert Profond. Green mascara! Ahhh I love it and it really brightens the eyes. My only minor complaint is that it isn’t really waterproof on me – I end up with green under my eyes a couple hours after application. But, I don’t care! I love it so much.

The Le Vernis Long Lasting Colours in this collection are like sunset shades fading to darkness – gorgeous! I fell in love with all the corals, from the faded softness of Tulle, the sweet & bright Sea Whip, and the gorgeous Corelium with a hidden golden shimmer. Sargasso is the perfect modern dark nail, a greyish black with a hidden green shimmer.

CHANEL Le Vernis Sea Whip with Coralium accent nail. These ones were tough to photograph accurately, & are much brighter on nails than in the bottle. It kept throwing the exposure off! I’ll have to add some swatches photographed in the sun!

CHANEL introduced the Rouge Coco Stylo into their lip collection for Cruise 2017. I fell in love with the perfect creamy pink of Panorama.

The intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the comfort of a lip balm — all in one creamy yet lightweight formula. The innovative, hybrid lip colour is enriched with nourishing Apple Seed Extract, and hydrating Jojoba Oil and Coconut Oil. Silk Powder, Beeswax and special ingredients help visibly smooth, plump and add brilliant 3D shine to lips.
