Joe Fresh makeup has always been pretty awesome, and I’ve loved it since it was released. I kind of love everything they do and have a bunch of Joe Fresh fashion in my cupboards. I was so excited to try the new highlighters from the JF collection and they did not disappoint. I love a good highlighter and happily added these to my arsenal of pretty shimmery things.

The Joe Fresh highlighter collection is simple no-frills beauty that delivers just what you need and what it promises.

The packaging is streamlined and functional with a modern vibe and I like it. It’s not Chanel and one would not expect it to be at the drugstore cosmetic price point. But I still loved these products, regardless.

The Illuminating Primer is delightful! Pure Glow is the whitish silvery one It has a lovely texture that melts into skin and has not triggered any breakouts. Mind you I have only been applying it around my eyes, but I love it! It adds the perfect glow when I use it under my concealer.

The Highlighter Stick in Pure Glow is that idea highlighter stick to gently swipe along the cheekbones for that perfect strobey highlighted look. I like to blend it with a little powder to avoid an overtly disco look. I tried to photograph the shimmer but I find these photographs work better when they are a bit blurry – like with holographic nail polish –  so you can really see the shimmer. It’s a silver shade but has warm shimmer so it’s not overly white. It has a soft colour pay off and can be layered easily for a more dramatic effect, but I’m the queen of soft shades….

I think the Joe Fresh Champagne Highlighter powder is probably the “highlight” of the collection. This powder is super easy to control and can be layered if you want more colour pay off. The shimmer is warm and works perfectly on cheeks or lids. All in all a great collection for the value. I have a few more pieces I look forward to trying. Have you tried Joe Fresh Beauty? Would you?
