I did this for Mother’s Day and I’ll do it again for Father’s Day. This is not a holiday of specifics to me. If you have a dad, are a dad, be it to children or animals, Father’s Day is for them/you. Thierry Mugler Kryptomint is a limited edition fragrance from Mugler for summer that is centred on the scent of mint! It is unusual, odd and delicious, even a bit addictive. The mint is so fresh, making this perfect for hot sunny days and warm summer nights. Lightly applied it makes a perfect soft daytime scent. Add a few more spritzes for date night! I love applying my extra scent boost spritzes lower on the body when its warm out. Heat rises and so does your scent, and it’s also not in your face if you’re close to someone. The bottle is AMAZING, with a sort of rubbery green coating on the bottle with a built in sprayer, and a stunning green glass star, Mugler’s signature, shining like stained glass in the light. I randomly encountered Jack Black Blue Mark at Holt Renfrew when I was in Montreal a couple weeks ago. I didn’t even know Jack Black had fragrances, but I’m sure glad they do! It was love at first sniff! There is definitely an oceanic and sparkling freshness in the delectable opening, with water mint and bergamot. Then as it dries on skin, fresh and zingy ginger and invigorating juniper make you want to just inhale forever. The perfect clean musky dry down of white woods and patchouli add just the right amount of sexy. Blue Mark is perfect for warmer weather, and I’m in love with it! $90 CAD for 100ml

Dolce & Galbana Light Blue Eau Intense continues the perfect theme of fresh air, sunshine and the ocean from the original D&G Light Blue for men that has made it a top seller since it was released. The Eau Intense is built around the original formula, but is made deeper and richer, with a sexy musk and woodsy base that adds a sexy note that is irresistible. The original D&G Light Blue we all love is there on the top, but as the scent warms on skin, it has a sexy depth that I can’t get enough of. $110 CAD for 100ml.

Ahhh Azzaro Chrome Pure! Pure is twist on the original aquatic delight of the original super fresh Chrome, but Pure has a depth and warmth that I just adore! The best description for me would be a powdery citrus. The freshness of a citrus cologne with those airy watery notes, but grounded with the warmth and softness. The perfumer addition of citrus with a touch of sweetness, powdery sexy tonka bean, and akigalawood – taken from patchouli and smells spicy, woody and floral. This would super sexy on anyone who wants to wear it. I would say Chrome Pure is perfectly unisex. I love a soft powdery scent on man, kind of unexpected and unexpected can be a good thing. $92 CAD for 100ml.

Schaf Shave Cream is simply amazing and the best shaving cream that has ever entered our home. The packaging has recently changed but the magical formula has not. Schaf is a natural and incredibly gentle skincare line that I adore. Their use of coconut oil + aloe is life changing. Really. This shave cream has no scent, has a thick yet light/whipped texture that feels like silky velvet on the skin and treats even the most sensitive skin with kid gloves. My husband has declared it his favourite and I use it on underarms and legs for the softest closest shave ever. $30 CAD for 100ml

Reversa anti-spot brightening serum is perfect for outdoor enthusiast who may have been less than enthusiastic about applying sunscreen. Sun spots are real and make us look older than we are. My husband is a fanatical golfer, and anyone who’s out on the boat, skiing all winter, playing tennis (etc you get the idea) has likely got some sun spots. Fun fact – we used to call them age spots. I like sun spots better. Reversa anti-spot serum is amazing at fading those sunspots and any excess pigmentation spots you may have, like acne scars. Hydrating hyaluronic acid is like a sponge for dry skin cells, and can moisturise with 1000 times its weight in water for smooth supple glowing skin. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is a rich long lasting cream that works to keep your skin moisturised all day while drawing in moisture from the air. It reduces moisture loss and makes skin smooth, soft and glowing. It’s full of the super moisturizing squalene which is extracted from olive oil and delivers mega moisture to skin. It’s gentle and practically fragrance free, and perfect for use post-shave. My husband loves it. $62 CAD for 120ml jar (also in a 50ml)

Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Mineral Sunscreen SPF50* is the last step after shaving and moisturizing, before heading out into the sunshine. This mineral sunscreen manages to feel light on the skin, and some good blending gets rid of the excess white cast on skin, while stopping UVA and UVB rays. It’s super mild and great for sensitive skin, while also being free of fragrance, parabens, phthalates, dyes, and irritants. Neutrogena’s Dry-Touch technology helps this sunscreen dries with a non-greasy, light finish on skin. If you have short hair, don’t forget your ears and all around your neck!
