I am always getting asked to post more makeup looks, so I thought this easy peasy bronze and brown toned look would be a great start. I used the following makeup items, with details below the photo. The photo above was taken when our darling rescue cat, Boo Boo Kitty, was purring around my feet as I taking photos. So of course, there had to be a cuddling photo. Who can say no to that face?
Armani Precision Touch Concealer #2 – still my favourite concealer, this lightweight formula is like YSL Touche Eclat with more long-lasting coverage. Previously raved and reviewed here. I use it under my eyes, around my nose and on any pesky spots.
Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base in Golden Glow – my go-to powder foundation, with highly adjustable coverage that is always “just right”. My volatile sensitive skin loves this, and it works all year round. Reviewed here.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy – this shade is the perfect blush/bronzer hybrid. I love this when I want to pare down my beauty items and apply a bit on the apples of my cheeks, then lightly dust all over. Read more about this beauty here.
MAC Paintpot in Indian Wood – last year I was obsessed with a certain Tom Ford shadow that was sold out at counters near me in Florida. I ended up looking for a dupe and I’m glad I did. This particular shadow is so easy to use (hello, fingers) and is the perfect way to add some sparkle to any eye shade. Sheer and buildable, this is perfect for easy no fuss makeup looks. I use it on my lids, the corners of my eyes, and a light swipe on my lower lash line.
GOSH Velvet Touch Liner in Truly Brown – this is a product I keep meaning to review, and can’t believe there aren’t raves everywhere about this. It’s a soft pencil eyeliner that is also waterproof, and is one of my favourite tight-lining pencils. For under $20. Truly Brown is one of my favourite shades, along with Hypnotic Grey, a perfect “almost black” shade.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara in Beyond Brown – ahhh! My favourite brown mascara, this is one of the only non- waterproof mascaras that doesn’t run on me. This brown colour makes my hazel eyes pop and makes lashes look soft and lush, never harsh. I prefer lengthening mascaras to volumizing, as using Rapid Lash (review coming) has given me more than enough lashes. I tend to only use mascara on my upper lashes.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette – what can I say about this stunning Hourglass product that has not been said already, all over the internet. I love love love this, and use it every day. A light dusting of the two darker shades on my cheeks, the pale shade on my eyelids, brow bone and all over, and I’m glowing like a teenager. Well, almost.
YSL Glossy Stain in 27 – this is my ideal peachy coral tone and it works with my pigmented lips perfectly. I love how these Glossy Stains last, and even when the gloss is gone, a soft stain remains on the lips. Perfect.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Gloss in Ibiza – if you love gold lip gloss, and who doesn’t, then you need this. It is part of the Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess look and my go to way to add some easy glam to any look. Even with the golden glitter, it’s still a lovely natural look. A perfect topper for my coral peachy YSL stained lips.
