I started a special skincare routine around 10 days ago. And by special skincare routine I mean I added a serum to my morning and evening application of the things after cleansing. This isn’t just “a” serum, though, it’s more like The Serum because this one bottle of goodness is doing what it promises. We love those serums, don’t they?
You. Radiant.
Visibly younger.
In just 1 week
The serum causing the sensation in the beauty world on my counter is the latest offering from Canada’s Lise Watier, Sublimessence, their new highly concentrated age-defying serum. It contains the highly potent Canadian antioxidant, the exclusive Labrador Tea Extract. It is the “highest concentration of Labrador Tea Extract available, in a fast results, age-defying serum”. From Lise Watier:
The Active Cell Infusion Complex boosts the efficacy and absorption of actives to deliver them where skin needs them most.
With every application, a powerful dose of active ingredients penetrates into the skin to reverse already-visible signs of aging, improve skin’s resilience, and fight skin aging.

* Self-evaluation done by 431 Canadian women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, and skin types, following the use of Sublimessence twice a day. Percentage of women who agree with the statement.
So, what exactly does Labrador Tea Extract do? Why is it different from any antioxidant already out there? The extract is rich in active molecules, which means the effective ingredients are highly concentrated. Antioxidants, the bigare known to be effective in fighting the free radicals which lead to skin aging. Free radicals are molecules that directly damage various cellular structural membranes, lipids, proteins, and even DNA. As we age, the production of free radicals increases, and our skin’s defence mechanisms decrease. This imbalance can lead to premature aging.
What sets Labrador Tea Extract apart from other antioxidants we know is the potency. It’s around twenty times more potent than the popular and effective coenzyme Q10, and three times more effective than Vitamin C. And, I can see the effects in the mirror.
There are very few products that make me lean in closer when I wake up in the morning and notice a difference, but Sublimessence is doing just that. Let’s see what happens as I continue to use it, twice a day, as part of my routine. It’s got a lovely light texture that absorbs quickly, leaving your skin dewy and glowing. It does have a slight fragrance to it, which I like. It smells fresh and gently clean, but dissipates quickly. Verdict so far: LOVE.
