I don’t even know where to start about Revlon by Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués – which are basically stickers for your nails. They are absolutely gorgeous just on their own. The Marchesa inspired designs are stunning – and translate to “nail art” more beautifully than I could have imagined. The idea of an almost instant manicure that looks like rich gold leaf and brocade was more than I could resist.
So. The technical aspect. I was concerned about the aesthetic of a sticker on my nail. How does that even work? How does it not look like a sticker? Well, Revlon made it so. The package comes with eighteen nail stickers of various sizes, enough variety to fit any nail, even to fit my little doll hands. They are very thin, with almost a stretchy rubbery texture, so when applied to nail, they mould themselves perfectly. I stuck the sticker down right at my cuticle, then stretched it nice and tight and pulled it over the tip of my nail. Then, I lightly passed a high gauge emery board (included in the $9 nail kit, along with a plastic applicator palette) over the tip and the excess sticker just pulled away. I literally had a manicure ready to go out the door in under fifteen minutes – and that was my very first time applying the appliqués! Maybe I will do a short video showing just how easy it is. In the meantime, enjoy the loveliness!
Revlon by Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués are a Limited Edition release available through Fall 2013 where Revlon nail products are sold. As with all LE collections, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
