I first read about Trind Nail Balsam ($20 CAD) a few years ago. I was reading one of my favourite nail blogs, Loodie Loodie Loodie. She is wealth of information about the physiology of nails, and what is good for them. In addition to proper filing techniques, Trind Nail Balsam is one of her favourite items for nail health, and for good reason. I remember at the time wanting Trind Nail Balsam really badly but could not find any salons locally that carried it, which made me want it more, of course. Scarcity value has that effect on me, and most often with beauty products.
Trind is a Dutch nail product company that has been around for over twenty five years. They have been sold mostly in Europe and in select salons, so it hasn’t been readily available to North Americans until recently. And even then, Trind one of those niche brands that seems to excel simply by word of mouth and it’s reputation, which has clearly been great. Trind Nail Balsam is formulated to be an exact copy of natural nail moisture, which I’ve learned is very important to maintaining healthy nails. Dry nails peel, crack and can never seem to grow. Trind Nail Balsam contains d-Panthenol, Phytantriol, and Biotin to mimic the moisture in our nails and which provides continuous hydration. It’s also oil-free so after you apply it, and rub it in, it absorbs instantly, and you can apply polish right on top. This goes against everything we’ve been taught – strip that nail dry before putting on polish. Acetone, alcohol, whatever it takes to dry out that nail so the polish sticks! Yikes!
Since I’ve been using Trind Nail Balsam my nails are strong, flexible and healthy. They don’t split or peel anymore, and my manicures last forever! If you saw my stash of nail products you would understand it when I say I’ve tried everything. It is The Best Nail Health Product I have ever used. If it isn’t a cult “must-have” nail product now, it will be soon. Try it!
I also LOVE Trind polishes ($13 CAD). They are permanent loves in my collection. The gorgeous colours are also full of strengthening ingredients. The purple Luscious Lavender is one of the prettiest frosty shades and applied like a dream. The coral Mighty Macaron is simply one of the prettiest summer shades ever.
