I just LOVE getting to try a product that a) delivers what it promises and b) shows visible results I can actually quantify. Skinceuticals AOX + Eye Gel promises to fight fatigue, photoaging (caused by sun damage) and the appearance of puffiness and under-eye bags. It contains a magical cocktail of antioxidants to combat these issues:
Key Ingredient 1
1% phloretin, 5% L-ascorbic acid, 0.5% ferulic acid: An optimal concentration of this synergistic antioxidant blend is formulated to combat damaging free radicals, prevent signs of accelerated aging and correct existing photodamage like fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone.
Key Ingredient 2
Ruscus aculeatus: Derived from a small evergreen shrub native to Western Europe, this ingredient supports under-eye circulation and helps reduce the appearance of puffiness caused by swelling.
Key Ingredient 3
Caffeine: Helps facilitate drainage of fluid congestion and reduce the look of under-eye bags.
Ideally one should be using this for around two months to see results, but I am seeing results around four weeks into my routine. I am using it in the morning, along with my Vichy Serum For Eyes And Lashes, and I am loving it. It’s fall, and my daughter is back to school, so I’m not able to enjoy my morning beauty sleep. Also, some seasonal allergies conspire along with tiredness and age (ahem) to make me look more fatigued than I really am, so I need all the help I can get! Skinceuticals AOX + Eye Gel also feels good when I’m applying to my skin, and you only need to use one tiny little drop for both eyes. It’s a gel-serum hybrid that feels cool and silky going on, and then melts right into the skin. I then dab some eye cream on my crow’s feet area to finish off my skincare routine. Because it doesn’t matter how much make up. concealer etc etc you use on your face, it will look like crap without beautiful well cared for skin underneath.
Skinceuticals AOX + Eye Gel Antioxidant is around $87 for 15ml. I know Gee Beauty in Toronto carries Skinceuticals, but you can find a Canadian retailer here, and more info on points of sale here.
