Celebrate The 1st Chanel Jewellery Collection With The New Exclusif Perfume 1932

Chanel 1932 Exclusif

First let me get this out of the way – this is not a perfume to be found at every Chanel counter. The Exlcusifs are sold at select Chanel counters & free standing boutiques, so you do have to look a little harder to find them. But, it’s worth it, because these are not your average Chanel scents (although they are all lovely…well, minus Allure) and it’s easier to make one your signature perfume. Because they are fewer and further between than most Chanel perfumes, the chance that you will run into someone else wearing your scent is slim to nothing. We like that, right? And there is something for every perfume taste or want in the collection. From girly, to sultry, to fresh, clean, sexy and every thing in between, the Chanel Exclusifs have something for everyone.

The newest addiction addition to the Exclusif line is Chanel 1932. From Chanel’s website:

Named to commemorate the year of Gabrielle Chanel’s first High Jewelry collection, “Bijoux de Diamants.” 1932 evokes a dazzling array of diamond stars and comets. Created petal by petal, the soft, woody fragrance expresses an enveloping heart of White Jasmine.

I don’t know if I get “petal by petal” but I do get flowers, namely iris, jasmine and then rose with sexy woods. To my nose it’s a bit like 28 la Pausa meets 31 Rue Cambon – and that’s ok. There are common threads that run through this perfume collection, and that in itself is interesting as you can follow the evolution of a perfume when you break it into it’s parts. In the deep drydown, I get a hint of the sexy rose chypre, Ungaro Diva, and so that is wear the rose comes from. Before that, I get lots of fresh, soapy iris that does indeed grow into a “sparkly” jasmine. There is some citrus in the top notes which I imagine will sing a bit louder in warmer weather. All in all a gorgeous perfume. It is a lot like 28 la Pausa, which I already own, yet the jasmine is charming me and making me think I might need this. Along with Jersey, which I have managed to resist buying…so far. Twitter can be a bad place if you don’t want to be surrounded by enablers going “Buy it! Buy it! You will love it! You need it!”. So I will likely cave before long. Chanel made it a lot easier by adding 75ml bottles to the line. When they only had 200ml bottles it was a little easier to walk away from the counter. Thank you to Best Things In Beauty for sending me a sample of this loveliness – CharlestonGirl, you are a temptress!

If you are looking for a pretty floral perfume that stays close to the skin, dries down to a gentle sexy woodsy musk, then you must seek out Chanel 1932. I bet you’ll love it.

Chanel 1932 and the Exclusif line is available at Chanel Boutiques, select Chanel counters and online at Chanel.com and a 2.5oz bottle is $130.

    Beautiful images Daly
Real bobby dazzlers as we might say over here.
I’m so glad you like this one – I’ve yet to try on the Dandy’s skin but on the mouillette it was very much in favour.
As you say, the internet is so not the place for those of us who can ‘resist everything except temptation’ as Mr Wilde once said.
    Yours ever
