Eau de Jane is the scent of the past, the present and the future. The scent of now. Eau de Jane is the fragrance of green grass, earth and the flower petals we held as children. It was always my dream to create a perfume that held my memories. The memories of my past and memories of the strong beautiful humans in my life. That is Eau de Jane.
Eau de Jane opens with bright sparkling citrus notes, meant to evoke sunshine. Then the green galbanum comes to play, evoking a green forest. There is a blend of floral and leafy green notes that continue to play on the skin, dancing in and out of the green galbanum and balancing the bitter green notes. Then, you’re walking through the forest and come upon a stream, with cool water running over the stones. There is mineral note as Eau de Jane starts to dry down, still green but also fresh and calming. As Eau de Jane warms on the skin, the warm woodsy and earthy notes start to emerge. A soft skin scent, similar to a musk, emerges, as Eau de Jane takes on your own chemistry and becomes your own personal scent.
On a cellular level we are all the same. We are all part of this earth and our energy never goes away. This primal memory of the earth and sun and skin from when we were children – this scent memory of a time when we knew anything and all was possible. The morning, the green grass, and a single drop of dew.
“We are a way for the universe to know itself. Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return. And we can, because the cosmos is also within us. We’re made of star stuff”
—Carl Sagan
Luca Turin compares Eau de Jane to Carven Ma Griffe and called it “pleasantly retro”. I think that’s perfect.
