I believe one can never have too many body moisturizers. Oh, sure, I have my favourites, but those are fluid and change, along with all my beauty stuffs. I often find my New Favourite ________ that displaces the previous one. Or, I find Another Favourite _______ to go with the others. Fellow product junkies, you know exactly what I’m talking about, right? And I am obsessed with having soft smooth skin. I apply it in the morning, before bedtime, after the shower or bath, before going out….pretty much always.
I recently did a photo shoot with probably the best make up artist I have ever met, Vanessa Jarman. Honestly. Photo shoots usually mean frightening layers of make up that often have to look drag-queenish in real life in order to look good on film. Vanessa manages to just make you look gorgeous. Period. Oh, and my hair looked so freaking amazing, I just wanted to take her home with me to do it every day! You can follow her on Twitter here, and Instagram here. Vanessa is also a super cool person. So you can understand why when she told me Burt’s Bees Radiance Lotion was her go-to favourite for making skin look glowing and gorgeous on camera (legs, in particular), I ran out and bought some. And of course I love it!
I recently went to a launch for a bikini calendar I participated in to raise money for The Canadian Cancer Foundation ( you want one of these gorgeous calendars – go here to buy one!), and obviously I had to look my best! I hate wearing nylons, no matter how cold it is, so bare legs it was. I wanted my skin to glow and be gorgeous, so now was the perfect time to try out my new Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Sugar Scrub in the shower. I’m a big believer in scrubbing away the dull to expose the glow, and Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Scrub does it with style!
“Soap & Glory’s cult-classic Sugar Crush™ Body fuses freshly-squeezed sweet lime, sparkling lemons, sweet vanilla musk and almond oil, with sea salt, smashed brown sugar, glycerin and macadamia oils to leave your skin feeling smooth, supple, and sexy. Miraculous on dry legs, elbows (really – all over), it’s energizing, exhilarating, amazing!“
Yummy!
And, the final touch was, of course, Burt’s Bees Radiance Lotion! Thanks so much Vanessa, you rule. Because this lotion feels good, smells yummy and makes my skin positively glow! I really love this line and this body lotion has convinced me to try more stuff. I’ve gone off lotions that smell so much like shea/coco butter as I find them cloying and they interfere with my perfume. This one just smells fresh and pretty, and gently fades away leaving only the scent of you and your perfume (if you choose to wear one!). It also moisturizes beautifully! The hint of mica in the Radiance Lotion is where the magic happens…
“This natural body lotion is specially created to enhance your skin’s natural glow. It’s formulated with Royal Jelly, one of nature’s most nourishing substances, packed with 134 nutrients, including 17 amino acids, and vitamins A, C, D and K, as well as multiple B-vitamins. Sunflower oil moisturises and mica, a light reflecting mineral, enhances your skin’s natural glow. “
Verdict? Both of these products are a perfect recipe for glowing skin. Kiss those dry scaly legs goodbye, and add a gorgeous glow while softening and moisturizing your skin.
